About the Academic Coaching

The Whole Picture Academic Coach is a long-time student with multiple post-secondary degrees and professional degrees who achieved high academic results, but at the cost of high stress, health challenges, and procrastination. After vowing to find balance - to still aim for peak academic performance while living a healthy, fulfilling life - she tapped into resources and experts to achieve this goal. After finding personal success, she decided she wanted to share her knowledge with undergraduate students who want both academic rigour and a livable life. Whole Picture Academic Coaching has "Whole Picture" in the title, because it is not about separating school from life, but learning how to integrate it, and excel at both. The Whole Picture Academic Coach will tailor a plan for the student, help guide the student as the plan takes shape, serve as a sounding board for strategy, and suggest and triage the student to important resources, some which may be obscure, both in the community and/or on campus. This is more than a business to the coach, it is a mission to help students in university achieve their goals without sacrificing their quality of life.

Package 1

Scholarly Growth

Will provide essential resources and guidance to help student identify goals, develop plan, and help implement and guide plan, while following up with any suitable adjustments or changes. At the end, the student should feel confident in new found skill building, use of resources and tools for all around success.  

Package 2

Catch-Up

This is for the student who feels they are falling behind, flailing, or lost. The student wants to do better academically, or feel better in life at school in general, but does not know how. This program takes a look at what is going wrong, devises a plan to fix it, and ascertains student's goals. By the end the student should feel secure in their academic and executive functioning, observe noticeable improvement, and know what to do to keep improving and working towards their goals in a sustainable way.

Timing

Program Structure

After an initial 2 meetings, the first which is complimentary, a plan will be devised with a proposed timeline. Each case is different, so a different timeline may be proposed to match the specific plan for the student. After the timeline is complete, a student may choose to book one-off sessions. There is a minimum of 3 sessions if a student wants a smaller number and not a program.
